Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 1.67% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 884,419 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,405 megawatt-hours at 03.00 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,266 megawatt-hours at 05.00 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 872,825 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 1.69% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from natural gas plants constituted 22.5% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 22.2% and 14.9%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 8,941 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 20,536 megawatt-hours.
