Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 3.2% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 934,955 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,657 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,795 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 939,416 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 3.5% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 32.5% of total generation, while solar and run-of-river plants contributed 14.9% and 11%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 2,867 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 7,273 megawatt-hours.
