Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 7.4% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,102,913 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 50,227 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,077 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,123,316 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a decrease of about 7.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for around 21% of total generation, while dam-based hydro and imported coal contributed 20.7% and 15.8%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 24,140 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,826 megawatt-hours.
