Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.85% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,216,885 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 57,882 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 40,476 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,238,465 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 0.77% compared to the previous day.
Production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 20.1% of total generation, while imported coal plants and solar power plants contributed 19.2% and 14.6%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 24,107 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,532 megawatt-hours.
