Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.74% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,214,460 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 58,199 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 40,155 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,235,634 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 1.7% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 21.9% of total generation, while imported coal and wind energy contributed 19.3% and 14.1%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 24,003 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,898 megawatt-hours.
