Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.43% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,068,824 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,970 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,503 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,088,472 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.46% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 22.8% of total generation, while imported coal and solar energy contributed 20.07% and 16.8%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 21,066 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 971 megawatt-hours.
