Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 4.5% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 886,676 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,489 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,759 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 889,700 megawatt-hours on Saturday marking a fallX of about 4.7% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 35,5% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 13.4% and 11.4%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,835 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,548 megawatt-hours.
