Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 3.9 % on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 883,232 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 40,824 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,347 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 888,729 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of about 3.7% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 32.5% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 14.9% and 11.7%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,396 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,030 megawatt-hours.
