Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.7% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 945,405 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,356 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,168 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 965,496 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of 0.7% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 32.2% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 17.2% and 11.9%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 24,197 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,304 megawatt-hours.
