Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by 0.6% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,007,132 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,356 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,188 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,026,734 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a fall of about 0.6% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dammed hydro plants accounted for around 21.7% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 21.6% and 12.1%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 20,214 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 678 megawatt-hours.
