Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,198,887 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 57,009 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,753 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,200,820 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a decrease of about 1.8% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 21.8% of total generation, while imported coal and solar power contributed 19.8% and 14.1%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 22,544 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 782 megawatt-hours.
