Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye declined by around 0.4% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,200,511 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 57,543 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 39,661 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,222,375 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a decrease of about 0.3% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 21.3% of total generation, while imported coal and natural gas contributed 19.8% and 18.1%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 22,708 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 923 megawatt-hours.
