Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 2.89% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,190,971 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 56,278 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 40,806 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,210,896 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a decrease of about 2.94% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for around 21.6% of total generation, while dam-based hydro and imported coal contributed 20.9% and 17.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 23,489 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,629 megawatt-hours.
