Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.6% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,051,665 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,401 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 35,300 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,071,574 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of about 0.5% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 24.3% of total generation, while imported coal plants and solar plants contributed 22.3% and 12.4%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 21,629 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,732 megawatt-hours.
