Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 3.3% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 927,458 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,452 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (0700 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 32,497 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 937,249 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of about 3.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 29.3% of total production, while wind power plants and solar power plants contributed 14.1% and 11.8%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,382 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 664 megawatt-hours.
