Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 1.02% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 967,251 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,946 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 33,238 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 977,663 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 0.7% compared to the previous day.
Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 30.7% of total production, while imported coal plants and solar power plants contributed 12.5% and 11.8%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,804 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 526 megawatt-hours.
