Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,149,612 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,099 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,361 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,154,155 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 0.3% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from wind power plants accounted for around 22.8% of total generation, while dam-based hydroelectricity plants and imported coal plants contributed 18.8% and 16.1%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,713 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,140 megawatt-hours.
