Türkiye's energy import bill increased by 28.8% to $5.91 billion in June, compared to the same month in 2025, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Friday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $4.59 billion last March.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $35.28 billion.
At $5.91 billion, energy accounted for 16.7% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in June.
Crude oil imports saw a 9.1% decrease to 2.65 million tons in June, compared to 2.92 million tons in June 2025.
