Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.1% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,149,608 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,812 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 38,536 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,148,599 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a fall of about 0.01% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from wind power plants accounted for around 22.3% of total generation, while dam-based hydroelectricity plants and solar power plants contributed 19% and 16.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,705 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 8,899 megawatt-hours.
