Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 4.14% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,119,335 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 51,618 megawatt-hours at 2 p.m. local time (1100 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity consumption dropped to the lowest level of 38,564 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,120,733 megawatt-hours on Saturday marking a fall of about 4.09% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 21.4% of total generation, while imported coal and wind solar plants contributed 18.1% and 16.5%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 9,825 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 8,417 megawatt-hours.
