Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.16% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,120,499 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,112 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity consumption dropped to the lowest level of 37,138 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,121,169 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of about 0.34% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 21.6% of total generation, while imported coal and solar power plants contributed 20.7% and 16.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,687 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,933 megawatt-hours.
