Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.8% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,117,865 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 53,436 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity consumption dropped to the lowest level of 36,737 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,120,310 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.9% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 22.4% of total generation, while imported coal and solar power plants contributed 20.2% and 16.6%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,770 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,153 megawatt-hours.
