Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.6% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 960,381 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,226 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,928 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 963,024 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 0.35% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 30.3% of total generation, while run-of-river hydropower and natural gas plants contributed 14.3% and 13%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 5,441 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,853 megawatt-hours.
