Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 12.7% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 907,649 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation released on Tuesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 43,248 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 29,506 megawatt-hours at 4 a.m. local time (0100 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 907,649 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a fall of about 12.4% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 32.8% of total generation, while solar power and run-of-river hydropower plants contributed 14.1% and 11.6%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,293 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 734 megawatt-hours.
