Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 3.3% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 913,211 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,781 megawatt-hours at 9 p.m. local time (1800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 31,338 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 917,475 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 3.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 31.2% of total generation, while solar and lignite plants contributed 17.3% and 10.5%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,115 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,035 megawatt-hours.
