Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 2.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 936,180 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,134 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,715 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 944,194megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a fall of about 2.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 31.4% of total generation, while solar and imported coal plants contributed 15% and 10%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,674 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 723 megawatt-hours.
