Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 1.3 % on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 901,474 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,004 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,836 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 906,107 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a fall of about 1.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dammed hydro plants accounted for around 31.3% of total generation, while solar and linyit contributed 17.7% and 10.8%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,082 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,425 megawatt-hours.
