Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 2.1% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 965,221 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 32,330 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 45,194 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 971,096 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of 1% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 29.3% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 17.6% and 11.7%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,893 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,035 megawatt-hours.
