Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.07% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,003,991 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked 47,781 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,759 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,009,585 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of 0.03% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 24.4% of total generation, while solar and natural gas plants contributed 17.7% and 10.8%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,958 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,568 megawatt-hours.
