Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 3.1% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,014,439 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,468 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,894 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,045,483 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 2.38% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 23.8% of total generation, while solar and wind power contributed 16.5% and 15.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 11,91 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,975 megawatt-hours.
