Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.3% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,136,750 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 54,096 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 37,237 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,144,069 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.3% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 22.8% of total generation, while imported coal and solar power plants contributed 18.9% and 16.5%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,547 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,246 megawatt-hours.
