Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.3% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,033,341 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 49,294 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 34,595 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,039,779 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a rise of about 0.3% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydroelectricity plants accounted for around 27% of total generation, while solar and wind contributed 15.6% and 14.8%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 9,908 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,398 megawatt-hours.
