Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.4% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 995,742 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked 47,101 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,907 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,002,134 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of 0.4% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 24.6% of total generation, while solar and wind power contributed 16.5% and 11.4%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 9,896 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,590 megawatt-hours.
