Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 5.4% on Saturday compared to the previous day, totaling 922,428 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Sunday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,551 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,091 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 929,906 megawatt-hours on Saturday, marking a fall of 5% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 29.3% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 17% and 12.9%, respectively.
On Saturday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,161 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,720 megawatt-hours.
