Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 2.2% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 991,808 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked 47,075 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,039 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 998,400 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 2.3% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 25.9% of total generation, while solar and wind power contributed 16.8% and 11.3%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,056 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,716 megawatt-hours.
