Türkiye's solar electricity generation reached its highest level of the year on Monday at 184,466 megawatts, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Tuesday.
Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 18.2% on Monday compared to the previous day, totaling 972,052 megawatt-hours.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,919 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,427 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 966,812 megawatt-hours on Monday, marking a rise of 16.9% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 25.7% of total generation, while solar and imported coal plants contributed 19% and 11.5%, respectively.
On Monday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,159 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,785 megawatt-hours.
