Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 4% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,010,707 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 47,869 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 33,574 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,017,488 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of 5.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 26.4% of total generation, while solar and imported coal plants contributed 18.2% and 12.6%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,343 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,689 megawatt-hours.
