Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.7% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 671,189 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 31,748 megawatt-hours at 1 p.m. local time (1000 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 22,545 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 689.241 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking an increase of about 0.8% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 39% of total generation, while solar and wind plants contributed 17% and 12.1%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 23,561 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 5,272 megawatt-hours.
