Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.8% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 958,719 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,918 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,836 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 965,863 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking a rise of about 2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 31.2% of total generation, while solar and imported coal plants contributed 15.1% and 10.6%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,218 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 334 megawatt-hours.
