Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 2.08% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 954,477 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,419 megawatt-hours at 3 p.m. local time (1200 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,009 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 958,615 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 2.04% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 32.6% of total generation, while wind and run-of-river plants contributed 14.4% and 10.7%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 2,460 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 6,910 megawatt-hours.
