Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 1.3% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 982,152 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,004 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,075 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 986,432 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a rise of about 1.1% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 32.5 % of total generation, run-of-river and solar energy plants contributed 12.1% and 11.8%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 2,415 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 6,672 megawatt-hours.
