Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased slightly on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 986,493 megawatt-hours, according to official figures from the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,969 megawatt-hours at 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), TEIAS data showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to its lowest level of 33,712 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 991,221 megawatt-hours on Thursday, marking a fall of about 0.06% compared to the previous day.
Electricity generation from dam-based hydropower plants accounted for around 34% of total production, while imported coal plants and run-of-river hydropower plants contributed 13.3% and 11.7%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 8,318 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,466 megawatt-hours.
