Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased 0.2% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 944,510 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 44,385 megawatt-hours at 8 p.m. local time (1700 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,800 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 951,231 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking a rise of about 0.2% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from hydroelectric power plants accounted for around 21.7% of total generation, while imported coal and solar plants contributed 21.3% and 14.6%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,816 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 1,239 megawatt-hours.
