Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.6 % on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 919,615 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 42,850 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,992 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 923,041 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of about 0.8% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 30.4% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 16.4% and 14.3%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 6,788 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 3,379 megawatt-hours.
