Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 3.22% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 890,059 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 41,187 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 30,793 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 897,025 megawatt-hours on Tuesday marking a down of about 3.02% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 34.7% of total generation, while solar and natural gas contributed 15.8% and 12.2%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,216 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,159 megawatt-hours.
