Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 0.3% on Thursday compared to the previous day, totaling 950,161 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Friday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,143 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 31,747 megawatt-hours at 7 a.m. local time (0400 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 956,200 megawatt-hours on Thursday marking a rise of about 0.4% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 32.3% of total generation, while natural gas and solar contributed 12.9% and 12.4%, respectively.
On Thursday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,479 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,515 megawatt-hours.
