Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased by around 0.3% on Friday compared to the previous day, totaling 946,019 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Saturday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 45,703 megawatt-hours at 12 p.m. local time (0900 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,489 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 950,052 megawatt-hours on Friday, marking a fall of about 0.4% compared to the previous day.
Electricity production from dam-based hydro plants accounted for around 33% of total generation, while natural gas and solar plants contributed 15.7% and 14.2%, respectively.
On Friday, the country's electricity exports totaled 10,037 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 5,682 megawatt-hours.
