Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye decreased 10.6% on Sunday compared to the previous day, totaling 741,180 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) on Monday.
TEIAS data showed that hourly power consumption peaked at 35,284 megawatt-hours at 7 p.m. local time (1600 GMT) and the country's electricity consumption fell to 26,945 megawatt-hours at 6 a.m. local time (0300 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 732,749 megawatt-hours on Sunday, marking a fall of 10.6% compared to Saturday.
Imported coal plants contributed 29.4% of total generation, while natural gas and lignite power plants supplied 14.5% each.
On Sunday, the country's electricity exports amounted to 13,973 megawatt-hours and imports totaled 22,404 megawatt-hours.
