Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 4.9% on Tuesday compared to the previous day, totaling 982,399 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Wednesday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 46,786 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,329 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 987,465 megawatt-hours on Tuesday, marking an increase of 4.7% compared to Monday.
Electricity production from wind plants accounted for around 24.1% of total generation, while hydroelectric plants and imported coal contributed 21.1% and 16.8%, respectively.
On Tuesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,258 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 2,129 megawatt-hours.
