Daily electricity consumption in Türkiye increased by around 3.6% on Wednesday compared to the previous day, totaling 1,018,006 megawatt-hours, according to official figures of Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEIAS) released on Thursday.
Hourly power consumption peaked at 48,550 megawatt-hours at 11 a.m. local time (0800 GMT), data from TEIAS showed. The country's electricity usage dropped to the lowest level of 32,441 megawatt-hours at 5 a.m. local time (0200 GMT).
Electricity production amounted to 1,020,619 megawatt-hours on Wednesday, marking an increase of 3.3% compared to Tuesday.
Electricity production from hydroelectric plants accounted for around 24.5% of total generation, while imported coal and wind plants contributed 20% and 15.2%, respectively.
On Wednesday, the country's electricity exports totaled 7,487 megawatt-hours, while imports amounted to 4,797 megawatt-hours.
